You’ve heard of body and face exfoliation, but have you heard of lip scrub and lip exfoliation? A lot of brides-to be don’t know the importance of a lip scrub. Many women are victims of dry and chapped lips especially during the winter season. The skin on the lips are the thinnest on your whole body and need to be taken care of.We recently realised it is very easy to make your own lip scrub at home (thank God for Pinterest!)Winter’s typically unforgiving weather has us yearning for soft and smooth lips.Lip scrubs remove the dead outer surface of your lips, but unlike body scrubs, they are generally safe if ingested. We are going to let you in on our little secret and share with you gorgeous girls how to make your own lip scrub at home!
You will need…
– one teaspoon of olive oil
– one teaspoon of Vaseline
– one teaspoon of lip balm (We have used labello)
– a couple of teaspoons of sugar
– half teaspoon salt ( to taste)
– an empty container( we used our old body shop lip balm container)
– a fork
STEP 1 : put the olive oil, Vaseline and the lip balm in a bowl and mix well until you get an even mixture. It is best to use a fork than a spoon because you will never be able to mix everything well using a spoon. We added the lip balm for the colour and taste, but you could just replace it by adding extra Vaseline and olive oil if u like.
STEP 2 : Add the salt and sugar and make sure you keep on adding small spoonfuls of sugar until you get a granular mixture.
STEP 3 : put it in the empty container and its done! (easy peasy, isn’t it?)
HOW TO USE : simply apply a small amount to your lips and gently scrub for 10 seconds.Rinse it off and apply your favourite lip balm and you are good to go!
P.S : lip scrubs are made to be sweet and great-tasting.So,scrubbing is healthy and enjoyable.Enjoy your soft kissable lips! *wink* *wink*
