Fun Ideas For Your Wedding Part 2 !!
No one wants to throw a total boring wedding. Weddings should be fun and have your signature style in it. No, it doesn’t mean you have to spend way too much. There are a ton of super offbeat and inexpensive wedding entertainment ideas that will make your guests remember your wedding for years !!
I have put together few simple and fun things you can easily incorporate into your celebration to make it memorable!
THE SEND OFF- sparkle it !!
I can’t believe I missed this one in 5 FUN IDEAS FOR YOUR WEDDING . Sparkler send off is something that struck a chord with me whenever I went through pinterest. It its nothing but a “guard of honor” for the newly wed couple with sparklers held by their guests, on the couple’s way out of their wedding reception. Dramatic exit much ?
THE SHOE GAME – Must try !!
The shoe game is a fun game for the bride and groom, which tests how much they know each other in a fun and hilarious way. You can play this at your engagement/cocktail party/wedding reception.
HOW TO PLAY : The bride and groom are seated back to back and each hold one of their partners’ shoes and one of their own, then the maid of honor, best man, and other guests read a list of “who” questions about the relationship (eg : who made the first move, who is the better driver etc etc) to which the bride and groom hold up the shoe of the person who best fits the answer.
THE SHOE STORY – Trending !!
You know that shoes are worn on the feet, but did you know that many brides are giving wedding shoes another purpose? Thats right! You’ve probably seen various images of wedding shoes with writings on them all over Pinterest/Instagram and may have wondered what you could write on yours. There are my many sentiments and expressions you can use.
Have the groom write a message to the bride on the bottom of her shoe the morning of the wedding OR have bridesmaids do the same thing. Its said that whoever’s name does not wear off by the end of the night is the next to get married 😛
Why leave the groom alone? 😛
DJ REQUEST BOX – dance all night !!
If you are having a sangeeth/mehendi/cocktail party then this is something you wanna do. We all know how annoying it is to see people circle around DJ and request songs at a party. Well you can avoid all that fuss by placing a DJ request box at the entrance of your venue.
ADVICE CARDS – always free !!
Leave out advice cards near the guest book or on the dining tables. It’s a great icebreaker for people sitting together who might not know each other that well. You could even have your guests write small notes and open them for your first month anniversary.
DANCING SHOES : life saver !!
If you are going to have a crazy party after your reception, then you might want to consider this. Have a box with chappals that women can change into for hours of dancing. Trust me, they will be forever grateful for this!!
Let us know if you would try any of the above for your wedding.
UNTIL NEXT POST,
