Pre-saree spree !
From the day of the wedding until you are through with all the wedding rituals sarees are your best friends or should I say they MUST be your best friends. In my case the post wedding period was super tiring than the pre wedding, me and my husband had to sit through numerous poojas and as they say mukhify our heads in countless number of homams (well, not literally mukhify 😛 ) and during this period I did not have much time to get all decked up. I picked a couple of tissue kota and crape sarees and wore them for almost all the poojas, they are not only very comfortable but also super easy to wear. ( If you are a beginner in saree tying, tissue kotas are a must have, they fall very easily on any body type.)
Okay, enough about post wedding drama ! Lets get back to the pre wedding scenes. This is the time when you can experiment with as many looks as you can. Do not stick to the traditional looks ( though there is no look that surpasses them ), your wedding is the time to let your wardrobe go super creative, this does not mean you have to wear something ultra modern. Stick to your routes but just be creative about how you wear them and what accessories you pair them up with. However much of a middle you bare, just make sure your abs are toned enough to be flaunted!
We have come up with FIVE of our favourite looks that can be tried for pre wedding ceremonies and parties.
I must mention here that weddings ( pre or post ) involve a lot of “taking blessings, poojas, lifting of hands and legs, dance and a lot of physical activities”, so just make sure what ever you wear you should not only look ultra gorgeous but also have to be ultra comfortable. The last thing you want to do is adjust your skirt and blouse in front of everyone or have the camera man tell you to adjust your dress !!!
So, here goes ..
This is the perfect dress for GLAM COCKTAIL PARTIES !! You do not have to necessarily wear western for cocktail parties, go glamorous with gowns like this and I’m sure you will be the poison of the night !!
Post HALDI is when all the wedding guests start arriving, so make sure you wear a comfortable dress to put up with all the “taking blessings scenes :p” This floor length anarkali is perfect for such occasions as you do not have to do any “lifting while walking” like you do with skirts !
SANGEETH parties are the must fun events of the wedding and for you to be able to enjoy yourself to the fullest make sure you wear a dress/lehenga that is not too tight. The dresses below are perfect for such evenings as they can be worn with or without the dupatta/choli.
On another note, we had an awesome new year. We take this moment to thank all our readers for the love and support and wish you all a happy 2015 😀
