Real brides give advice for “wedding perfect” hair !
A hairstyle can make or break the look – we have said this time and again ! Be it make up or hairstyles, it’s going to look good on you only if you get the basics right by going back to remedies that keep your skin and hair healthy from within ! Conditioning your hair a week before the wedding is not going to help, I’m sorry but that is the reality !
Some of our real brides share with us what they did religiously before their big day to get the perfect wedding hair !!
“We all know that hair style makes such a difference and it is important to have a healthy hair to create different looks. Great hair is a sign of health and I always follow this natural home remedy to make my hair stronger and colorful.
1. Grate a beetroot and make it as a mixture and blend it. Apply it on the hair and let it stay for an hour. Wash off to get a brilliant color and shine.
2. try to avoid using blow dryers as much as possible as they strip the moisture away.
3. I drink at least 8 to 10 glasses of water in a day which will help improve the overall health of my hair and to make it a routine , I also downloaded an app which reminds me to drink water every one hour. ” adds my gorgeous tambram bride Deepika Iyer !
Athmika Reddy very honestly says “I hardly did anything for my hair. I very religiously applied warm coconut oil mixed with olive oil and let in sit in for an hour and wash it off with a shampoo/conditioner that is apt for your type of hair ! This might sound simple but it is the most effective treatment you can do to your hair!!”
Sometimes we think spending big bucks in the parlour is what it takes to have great hair, but it’s so cool that such fashionable brides like Athmika here go back to simple grandma’s remedies ! 😀
Gayathri Prakash says “I have always had the habit of not taking care of my hair and there was a time that my hair had gone too rough. That’s when I went and cut it short. When it grew back I started using the iron and the curler too often and my hair lost its texture again. My wedding got fixed and I had to do something about it. You cannot obviously have false hair for all the days of your wedding celebration right? It was a decision I needed to make, because it was not easy. I had to get it back to my normal texture first and then step two was to literally making it “look nice.”
I first started off using my Grandmother’s oil. A concoction of different oils with Jeera, Raw Rice, the Lawsonia (Henna) leaves, etc. This was done twice a week religiously. And after this came the Kérastase Resistance Therapiste Masque and Luxe oil.
Kripa Koshy says ” Start all your hair treatments, in parlour or at home at least 6 weeks before the big day ! If you are using any hair accessories, it is very important to have a hair trial with the head-piece before the wedding. Keeping your hair routine simple and eating healthy is the key to great hair. Your hair is going to be loaded with chemicals during your wedding events, so keep the hair care routine natural to an extent if you can !”
