Top 5 Honeymoon Destinations (Islands) that do not require a visa !
I just could not resist starting this post with my favourite honeymoon destination !! This was a last-minute decision me and my husband made and trust me, it was one of the best decisions we’ve ever made.
The moment we stepped on the beautiful sand surrounded by deep blue waters, we sensed a breeze of relaxation and we just knew that it was going to be one beautiful trip. Regardless of where you stay I can assure you that your room will have the most break taking view ever ! There’s nothing better than waking up to the sound of waves playing with the sand and a ray of bright sun light ! *take me back!!!!*
Now, this is another place you must consider if you love the beach. My friends that have visited Fiji say that it is so unique from the other islands because it provides so much privacy, when I mean privacy I mean you could have your own island privacy ! ” The best part is all your pictures will need no filters and be perfectly sun-kissed”, she added. 😀
Most of the islands offer an amazing range of fresh sea food, but Mauritius boasts itself for the kind of food it offers its guests ! The sumptuous seafood combined with the blue waters are just the perfect way to get way after a big fat wedding, don’t you think ? 😀
“The mere mention of Bali evokes thoughts of a paradise. It’s more than a place; it’s a mood, an aspiration, a tropical state of mind”, quoted Lonely Planet. We couldn’t have said it better ! 😀
More than anything Bali is known for its famous sunset bars and local shopping. Bali is surrounded by the most serene mountains that are a feast to the eyes. Also known as the land of gods, Bali has the most beautiful temples that even the honeymooners cannot miss ! You can LOVE,EAT AND PRAY here ! 😀
If you love NIGHT LIFE, Bali should be your pick! Most of the islands become sober as the sun starts to set, but not Bali! The roof top bars, the theatre shows, cultural dinners, cabaret and the sunset dinner cruises are just breathtaking !
Also known as the Galápagos of the Indian Ocean, Seychelles is the best place to see some beautiful sea/tropical life! This is yet another island that has all the luxurious characteristics of one!
Ok, so we all want to be a little luxurious during our honeymoon right? MAHE HAS A CASINO !!! If the places that I travel to have a casino, I never leave the place without gambling a little. Buy a bunch of drinks and gamble away, it is the most fun thing you can do! (just do not go overboard) 😛 !
Until very recently I thought “Sri lanka? Is it a place for honeymoon”? Boy was I wrong or what ?! Very very close to India, Sri lanka is a place you must consider for your honeymoon.
Famous for its food and heritage, Sri lanka also has another side! The beaches (St. lavinia beach in particular) , the night life, the casino and the local street food are truly authentic to its culture (except for the spas, that is). Oh yes, do not leave the lanka land without visiting the leisure world water park !!! A little adventure on your honeymoon maybe ? 😀

Almost all the resorts in Maldives offer a list of various fun activities to do while you are there. Here are some activities that you must do :
- Book a boat ride with the concierge and sail out to see the Dolphins dance !
- Most of the resorts have sunset decks, book a table and watch the sea absorb the bright orange sun. Ask for flavoured hookahs ! 😀
- Snorkelling – go and kiss the fish ! The hotel will provide you with an instructor that will give you lessons for a nominal fee, make sure you ask them ! 😀
- SEAFOOD !!!
PASSPORT REQUIREMENT :
These islands issue visa to Indians on arrival. The only requirement is that you will need a passport with 6 months validity and an empty page. Some of the places would also require you to carry passport sizes photographs.
