Wedding cake designs that you must consider !
After the music ends and the ceremony is over its time for the cake !! Wedding cakes are some what strangers to Indian weddings and it is so great that we are starting to accept this little ” let ’em eat cake” situation! But little do we know about this tradition !
The cake cutting is sometimes very emotional as it is marks the end of the ceremony, but at the same time marks the beginning of the journey of the couple as husband and wife.
” The meaning of the groom having his hand over his bride means his support over his bride while the bride allowing the groom’s hand on top of her means her ability to take care of her new husband and her family. “
So I was thinking, “hey !! I need to share these gorgeous looking cakes with my lovely readers and know what they think.” So here goes..
These are some ultra gorgeous cakes that topped my must consider cake list !
This is my favourite ! I just cannot believe how gorgeous it is !! That hint of butter cream on the sponge makes it so rustic yet the most elegant cake I’ve ever seen. If you are having a garden wedding or a wedding at all :p LOL, this is a cake you MUST MUST consider !
What better way to end a summer wedding ?! *dreamy*
The two cakes that follow are super pretty and are perfect if you are the girly-girly type ! The detailing is exquisite and the fondant work is to die for. The flowers can be matched with your decor or with flowers of your choice. You could even include the a tiny design from your wedding card to make it that much better !
These I must say are the “hassle free cakes”. If you are having a small wedding, this is the cake to consider. Your wedding guests can pick their own piece of the cake, but a cupcake :p (if that makes any sense).
If you are having a typical Indian wedding or a big fat Indian wedding for that matter, these cakes are as Indian as it gets ! The second cake some how reminds me of the cartoon Aladdin ! It is just so dreamy and perfect. And the best part is, the colours incorporated in these cakes are so Indian and could blend in with any theme and attire !
The pearl studded cake is perfect or an evening wedding or even a reception ! You could incorporate real flowers on the top tier. *fun fun*
Like I said, my favourite one is the first one with the roses !
P.S: If you are up for it, you could light up a sparkler and stick it into the first tier of the cake just before cutting into it. Be careful though !
P.S.S : Do not blame me if you burn the place down :p
Let me know which one you love the most.
Until next time,
