SIMPLE AND LAZY WEDDING DIY’s
There is nothing more satisfactory than enjoying the fruits of your labour !! All of us are into DIY’s these days, we try braids, nail arts, home decor etc. How about we extend that creativity a little bit and try wedding DIY’s ? Yes !! They are super easy and when you see them being appreciated on your big day wouldn’t you be ecstatic ?
We know you cannot afford to spend days working on these DIY’s, that’s why we are going to call these diy’s the LAZY WEDDING DIY’S ! Lol. ( Sounds so much like what we love to do!! )
1. CONE, CLIP AND STICK !
This is a super easy diy. All you have to do is cut a patterned paper into a square shape and roll it to make a cone and staple the top corner. Once this is done you could stick a butterfly(as in the picture), a heart or even a cutting of your initials. There are many templates available that can be easily cut out. This is the best diy for SAVE THE DATE invites ! You could even put a candy inside ! 😀
2. GLUE AND GLITTER !
This could be a great wedding give away ! Find some reasonably priced glasses of your choice and apply a transparent glue half way through ( down up) and pour in any color of glitter and shake it up and dust of the excess once it is dry.
3. CUT FOR CONFETTI !
Guests usually wish the couple with either flowers or turmeric covered rice grains, but you could go a little creative and cut out different shapes of confetti and place them near the mandap or in small bags on every seat for the guests individually if you are having a considerably small wedding ! (If you are from chennai or any city that has “the odyssey store” you could pick these little cutters from there !)
4. ACE THE LACE !
If you are having a small wedding, say about 100-200 guests, buy the required quantity of lace and tie it around the chair and instead of using fresh flowers to avoid havoc on the big day make pom-poms of small sizes and stick them to a popsicle stick and insert them in the centre !
5. XOXO !
This is my favorite LAZY DIY ! Order for some shiny, glittery potli bags online and stuff them with kisses chocolates and print out stickers ( any kind of stationery printing store will do this for you) of thank you notes and stick them at the back ! This adds a little bit of personal touch when you thank your guests ! 😀
6. SODA CAN CENTERPIECES !
Collect some used soda cans, measure and cut them parallel to each leaf and pull them outwards. Spray the can with spray paint and place the candle on the bottom and stick with a double sided tape or glue and then stick the bent leaves and voila ! These will make great centerpieces on your tables at the wedding !
7. RIBBON CHAIRS !
This does not need much explaining ! Go all out with vibrant colors or match them according to your theme !
8. MEHENDI HEAD BANDS !
All you need are some bendable strings and plastic or fresh flowers of your choice. Wrap the string around your head, measure and cut it, cut a little extra at the end because you will need to finish it so the flowers dont fall out. Insert the flowers into the string and bend it into a round crown shape and look like a princess !
9. LET THE WORLD KNOW !
Every couple has a little story to tell the world about how they met and fell in love ! And every guest wants to know that story, so tell them !
10. PHOTO BOOTH !!!!
Now, you do not expect us to do a DIY post and not talk about photo booths, do you ? LOL. We love photo booths no matter what the occasion is ! Go ahead and cut out your own customized frame or hang some ribbons, pom-poms and flowers to create a background and ask your guests to strike a pose !
Let us know what your favorite DIY is !
